Cutter director Aubrey Smyth earns grand prize at Moët Moment Film Festival

Director Aubrey Smyth has been such an incredible role model for aspiring women filmmakers this year, winning the grand prize at the Moët Moment Film Festival in New York with her short film, “The Bout” inspired by her mother’s courageous battle with cancer. With a total of 550 short film entries, judges Billie Lourd and Laura Dern chose Smyth as the first-place winner. She was awarded $25,000 for her work, and the money will go towards funding her upcoming film, “Ginger with A Snap”.
