Executive producer Hillary Cutter co-produced the ground-breaking documentary The Remix: Hip Hop X Fashion, which celebrates the momentous cultural impact of female designers, like Misa Hylton and April Walker, on mainstream fashion and culture. The film also sheds light on the historic cultural contributions of key players such as Dapper Dan and Kerby Jean-Raymond. Cutter Productions partnered with female directors Lisa Cortés and Farah X to bring this film to life.
Setting an example for the entire film industry, Cutter’s team curated a 90% female crew, from producers and DPs, to the editors and sound mixers. The film had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival and will be screening at festivals throughout the year, the first being The Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival in early August.
